Modifications since August 1999:

  • Dual battery system and split charge relay - second battery used to power all auxiliary items such as interior lighting, GPS, Stereo, laptop and rear spotlight mounted to roof rack. Additional battery fitted in trailer and charged by solar panel. All Optima batteries.
  • Suspension - Old Man Emu springs and shock absorbers. Front shocks and springs changed prior to 2002/03 expedition.
  • Double 'S' aluminium sports exhaust system.
  • K & N Air Filter plus foam outer for additional filtering.
  • Steering and diff protectors.
  • Pentagon window tint - for added security and to reduce heat within vehicle.
  • Additional power sockets fitted front and rear.
  • Removeable fluorescent strip lights front and rear plus LED's to light interior front and rear.
  • Custom built roof rack attached to roll cage.
  • Oil temperature and pressure guages.
  • Fuel pressure gauge.
  • Garmin V GPS mounted on dash behind steering wheel.
  • Back seats removed to accomodate LPG tanks - LPG system fitted March 2001.
  • Partition fitted behind front seats to prevent luggage coming forward and to provide support to shelves mounted in ceiling between passenger and driver's seat and in the rear of the vehicle.
  • KC Daylighters mounted on bumper.
  • EBC 'Green Stuff' brake pads.
  • Reconditioned rear axle and new front axle.
  • New RPI 3.5 litre engine fitted October 2000.
  • New fuel tank.
  • Eezi Awn roof tent folding out over the bonnet - a brilliant addition to the car which has made life so much easier; we can get the tent ready in about 30 seconds! Our one criticism is that the zips are not that resiliant - one developed a fault within about 2 weeks of use.
