N39 35.941, E026 25.890 Fantastic restaurant on the Troy - Izmir road - Richard had BBQ'd meat - similar to mini beefburgers - and rice and I had cheese, potato and coriander in a Turkish pancake. Really delicious - £2.50 per person for food, drinks, as much bread as you can eat and chilli/herb olive oil to dip it in. 2. Group of restaurants near the Seven Sleepers at Efesus - meat or cheese filled pancakes and a drink for 80p per person. 3. N36 45.733, E030 34.315 Gorgeous beach on the way to Antalya (approximately 10 miles south) 4. N36 47.073, E030 34.101 Buyuk Calticak - large beach/camping area surrounded by woods. I think you have to pay to enter. 5. N36 06.257, E032 57.148 - Bozyazi Beach on the Antalya - Mersin road - easily accessible - good for camping Syria: 1. Diving in Lattakia can be done through the Meridian Hotel during the summer. Unsure what organisation the centre is run under - not PADI 2. 09/02 - Entrance fee for Crac des Chevaliers cut from £S300 per person to £S150 3. No campsites in Lattakia but it is possible to camp in the car park at the Affamiya Beach Hotel - between to port and Sports City Jordan: 1. Entry to the Amphitheatre in Amman is free. Entry to both the Folklore Museum and the Jordan Museum of Popular Traditions is 1/2 JD per person. |
