Visa requirements:

All visitors, except other GCC nationals, need a visa or entry permit. These can be arranged by sending your passport and letter from your sponsor in Kuwait to a Kuwaiti embassy or consulate or by having your sponsor arrange the visa through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kuwait. Hotels can usually obtain visas for guests.

We had to buy vehicle insurance at the border - approximately £15 for one month.
